A Big Win

We're excited to see Climate Beacon Newsroom Initiative participants recognized for their work this week. The team behind "How women protect Mexico City's ancient island farms" won the WAN-IFRA Digital Media Award for Best Use of Video. The story was a collaboration between Mongabay and the Associated Press and is a tremendous example of in-depth visual solutions reporting. Producer Lucia Torres announced the win on LinkedIn with some photos to go along with it.

This program supports U.S. newsrooms looking to do visual climate solutions reporting, offering a $10,000 stipend, excellent training and cohort learning, along with the potential to publicly exhibit work with Catchlight and Photoville.
