⭐ APPLY NOW: Solutions Visuals - CBNI
The Solutions Journalism Network is accepting applications for the second round of its Solutions Visuals fellowship, part of the Climate Beacon Newsroom Initiative. While the story of climate change is often told through images of natural disasters and environmental devastation, this program supports newsrooms across the United States in developing innovative visual narratives that explore how communities are responding to the climate crisis with evidence-based solutions. The first cohort, launched in 2024, produced visual storytelling on topics ranging from coastal restoration and water conservation to flood resilience and Indigenous land management.
This year, six newsrooms will be selected to receive $10,000 each along with a year of coaching and support from SJN staff and partners, including award-winning photographers and visual storytellers. Proposals can focus on any visual medium — photography, video, interactives, illustration or animation. Selected newsrooms will also have opportunities to exhibit their work in spring 2027 through partnerships with CatchLight and Photoville.
The application deadline is Apr. 24. Join us for an informational “Ask Me Anything” session about this program on Apr. 14.
