Sarah Francis is a journalism educator currently serving as a Teaching Assistant of Journalism at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Ahram Canadian University, Egypt. With a professional background in local and international news reporting, she is a freelance news reporter and has over 3 years of experience as an online news editor at Elwatan newspaper, a reputable privately-owned Egyptian newspaper. She is also the co-founder of Trendify Magazine, an influential online publication in English specializing in the coverage and verification of Egyptian social media trends. Her contributions extended to the e-learning startup, BayanatSchool, where she has served as a content manager, focusing on the production of data journalism courses.

Currently, Sarah is pursuing her MA degree at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, Egypt, where she actively participates in numerous research activities. Her joint research papers have been published in renowned academic journals and presented at national and international scientific conferences. Sarah’s research interests are centered around international journalism, data journalism, solutions journalism, and environmental journalism. She is deeply committed to shaping the future of journalism through her teaching and research endeavors.
