Raoul Junior Lorfils
Raoul Junior Lorfils is a journalist with over a decade of experience in reporting and media management. Twice awarded the Prix du Jeune Journaliste en Haïti, he now serves as Radio Resources Manager at Farm Radio International (FRI), a Canadian NGO that uses radio as a tool for social change across Africa. He previously led Loop Haiti, the Haitian branch of the Caribbean media group Loop News, for five years.
With a focus on social issues, he has led projects to enhance the representation of minority groups — including people with disabilities and sexual minorities — in the media, and to highlight Haiti’s positive stories. His work has appeared in major national outlets such as AlterPresse, Ayibopost, and Le Nouvelliste, and he has collaborated with international media on coverage of Haiti.
In addition to his editorial roles, Raoul trains journalists in Haiti, promotes solutions-oriented journalism, and raises awareness around misinformation. He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism, a master's in media management, and has also studied international relations.
