Amy Maestas (she/her) is SJN's Director of Collaboratives: She leads the Local Media Project, a multiyear initiative with support from the Knight Foundation and the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation, which convened 15 news collaboratives to report on a pressing issue in a community with a solutions journalism perspective in order to change the prevailing negative narratives and to stimulate audience engagement. Amy graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in journalism and is a Knight-Wallace Fellow Class of 2016-17.
