Vibha Singh is the Founder of the India Solutions Desk, an initiative dedicated to training students and journalists in solutions journalism and providing meaningful internship and mentorship opportunities. An award-winning journalist, author and media educator based in Mumbai, Vibha Singh has 30 years of journalism experience in leading dailies and magazines and 18 years of teaching experience. Vibha is the recipient of multiple honors, including the Alfa Award for Excellence in Journalism (2025) and the Dr S. D. Gokhale Award for Promoting Qualitative Journalism in Ageing (2025).
She teaches at Mumbai University colleges on subjects including investigative journalism, media writing, strategic media communication writing, fact-checking, media ethics, digital media and solutions-oriented storytelling. Vibha is the author of the book “Learning the Art of Investigative Journalism” and co-author of “Fake News and Fact-Checking.” She trains young journalists, especially young women, to produce impact-driven, constructive stories.
She also conducts regular webinars and workshops on digital literacy, cyber law, the role of AI in journalism and media, and cyber safety for women, students and senior citizens. As the founder of Women Against Cyber Abuse, she works to build safer digital spaces. She has a master’s degree in journalism and mass communication and a master’s in political science and public administration.
