Ridwan Abiola Kolawole

Dr. Ridwan Abiola Kolawole is a communication scholar, journalist, and researcher. He holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, where he currently teaches media and journalism. With over a decade of experience in journalism, he has served as a correspondent for the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation and Uniq FM. He currently reports for Legit.ng. His research interests span media framing, misinformation, peace journalism and youth resilience. Kolawole has received multiple fellowships from the Social Science Research Council, supported by the Carnegie Corporation of New York, and has participated in international conferences and workshops across Africa and Latin America. He is a member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, the International Studies Association and the Society for Peace Studies and Practice.
