Oyeyemi Abolade

Oyeyemi Abolade is a young Nigerian journalist and media communicator working with Social Voices, a civic and solutions-focused newsroom. She supports storytelling, communication and community engagement around governance, accountability, climate and social development issues.

Her work involves amplifying newsroom reporting, supporting editorial communication and managing Social Voices’ growing WhatsApp community of journalists, storytellers and civic actors. Through this role, she helps facilitate conversations that connect journalists, experts and citizens around pressing public issues.

Oyeyemi coordinates and facilitates Social Voices’ #SolJournoChats, a dialogue that brings together experts and journalists to discuss responses to societal challenges. Her work focuses on strengthening journalism that goes beyond reporting problems to examining credible responses and encouraging more constructive public conversations.
