Leigh Paterson

As a senior editor and reporter at KUNC, a public radio station in northern Colorado, Leigh covers youth mental health, a beat which she created during the Covid-19 pandemic. She also edits special projects on a variety of topics. In the past, Leigh has reported on gun violence and energy development for regional public radio projects. Her work has won numerous awards and has appeared in national media outlets including NPR, 1A, BBC News and Reveal.
