Kimika Tonuma

Kimika Tonuma is the editor-in-chief of IDEAS FOR GOOD, an award-winning digital media outlet in Japan focused on sharing innovative solutions to global social challenges. She is committed to education, giving lectures on constructive journalism at schools in Tokyo and Hiroshima for years, to empower students to analyze complex issues critically and report in ways that promote solutions. With her experience living in Germany and Denmark, she brings a unique global perspective to her work. During her time in Denmark, she worked with a local NGO to document refugee stories, showcasing their resilience and challenges. She occasionally serves as an interpreter for Danish media crews, including DR and Politiken, during their reporting in Tokyo.
