Jerry Zremski

Jerry Zremski is a lecturer and director of the Local News Network at the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism, where he holds the Klingenstein Family Endowed Chair in Journalism. In this role, Zremski leads a team of student journalists providing content for news outlets across the state. Zremski also created the college’s first solutions journalism class, which participated in SJN’s 2024–25 Student Media Challenge. Previously the Washington bureau chief for the Buffalo News, Zremski also specializes in localized coverage of the federal government.
