Jen Zettel-Vandenhouten

Jen Zettel-Vandenhouten is managing editor of Project Optimist, a solution-focused nonprofit news organization focused on small cities and rural communities in Minnesota. Jen oversees Project Optimist’s coverage, which focuses on the environment, business, social issues, and art. She also handles production of the organization’s weekly newsletter. Before joining Project Optimist, Jen worked as an editor for the Duluth News Tribune and the Post-Crescent (Appleton, Wis.). She started her career as an education reporter with the Post-Crescent and the Watertown (Wis.) Daily Times.
