Dahlia Kholaif is a journalist and editor with nearly two decades of international experience, having reported for Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal and Al Jazeera English on politics, economics and culture across the Middle East and North Africa. She led MENA coverage at Global Voices between 2020 and 2022, before serving as editorial director and chief content officer for digital content at Egab, where she built the organization’s editorial operations from scratch. Dahlia mentored hundreds of journalists across the Global Majority on solutions journalism and placed their stories in over 70 outlets, including The Guardian, Al Jazeera English, Foreign Policy, BBC, Drop Site News, The Telegraph, Positive News, The New Humanitarian and many more. A Chevening Scholar, she holds a master’s degree from SOAS, University of London, and conducted press freedom research at the Reuters Institute, University of Oxford. She is now focused on making solutions journalism training accessible to Arabic-speaking journalists.
