Lots of award news! First up, solutions-focused environmental outlet Mongabay India won the Best Science and Medical category at the Publisher Podcast Awards. Its miniseries “Wild Frequencies” was an in-depth look at "how researchers in India use the science of bioacoustics, or animal sounds, to better understand the lives of wildlife."

Journalist Liza Ramrayka and her KALW radio series on seniors and mental health won a Mental Health America award. She explored initiatives addressing the needs of Bay Area AANHPI seniors.

Kaleb Roedel’s two solutions stories for KUNR around electrification projects in the Navajo Nation took home a runner-up award from the Public Media Journalists Association Awards.
