The whole Solutions Journalism Network team is delighted that we can bring back the awards program. The first year went better than we could have imagined. You shared with us some incredible stories — some of which became winners — that hadn’t been on our radar.
The inaugural awards also broadened enthusiasm for solutions journalism, and they were an opportunity to celebrate the growing quality and breadth of solutions journalism. That's worth cheering for by itself, and it also means that whether you're an independent journalist or a staffer, recent solutions journalism practitioner or veteran, at a small outlet or a huge one, your story can go far.
