Exploring Neighborhoods with a Solutions Lens

One of the most innovative grants we’ve been involved with now has recipients. Born from the work of Deborah Douglas, director of the Medill Solutions Journalism Hub, five Flip the Frame Local Tour Grants have been awarded to five educators. They’ll use those funds to “lead students on guided tours of local neighborhoods, where they learn to report on communities and their responses to youth mental health and other challenges through their assets instead of their deficits.” Meet them and learn more about this exciting work here.
