Kevine Omollo

Kevine Omollo is a Journalist and Media Trainer with over ten years of experience in practice. Mr Omollo is the Founder and Managing Editor for Lake Region Bulletin, a digital media platform in Kenya, and award winning digital news platform which was ranked the Third Best News Website in Kenya, in the 2023 Annual Journalism Excellence (AJEA) Awards.

Mr Omollo holds a Bachrlor of Journalism and Mass Communication degree from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, and currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Media and Communication Technology at Maseno University where he has been a part time tutor in the Media Department.

Mr Omollo has a wide network of journalists and media practitioners across Kenya, and is currently the Chairman of Kenya Correspondents Association (KCA) Nyanza Chapter, a position which puts him in the national board of the association. At the national level, Mr Omollo chairs Recruitment and Training Committee, a position which enables him to traverse the country to market the association, head recruitment strategies and conduct research on training needs of the association members.

Mr Omollo is passionate about telling development-oriented stories, bordering Environment, Agriculture, and Health. Mr Omollo also works around Media Viability programs, through Centre for Media Viability and Development (COMViD), and uses his vast networks such as Kenya Correspondents Association (KCA), Media for Environment, Science, Health and Agriculture (MESHA) and Kisumu Journalists Network (KJN) to push for a strong media in Kenya.
