Climate Peer Network Meeting
SJN's Climate Peer Network is a space for solutions-minded journalists from around the world to meet new people, brainstorm and connect. Join to attend this month's gathering (or subsequent ones), and register for the recurring Zoom meetings.
This month, we will be joined by Kiundu Waweru, East Africa Coordinator for the SYMBIOTIC Project at Internews’ Earth Journalism Network, a five-year initiative that aims to promote biodiversity and conservation by raising public awareness and amplifying gender-responsive, community-led solutions in Kenya, Ethiopia, Kyrgyzstan, Madagascar, and Indonesia.
Kiundu will talk about EJN's role in the consortium and its strategies for reaching the public over the next five years. As a solutions journalism accredited trainer, Kiundu will lead journalism workshops, webinars, and story grants in Kenya and Ethiopia, equipping journalists to produce impactful, solutions-focused biodiversity stories.
The session will be hosted by Caroline Karobia, Africa Initiative Manager.
