The Advancing Democracy Peer Network is a monthly virtual gathering for journalists covering politics, government and elections. Hosted by Solutions Journalism Network (SJN), Hearken and Trusting News, the sessions offer guest speakers, peer problem-solving and breakout discussions for journalists reporting on these issues.

In January, we’ll be joined by two guests:

  • Deb Douglass, Director of the Medill Solutions Journalism Hub and author of the recent report "The Fire Next Time: Operation Midway Blitz and How Community Journalism Can Respond When Systems Collide."
  • Gigafact, whose team partners with newsrooms to create fact briefs, concise, evidence-based explanations that give a clear yes-or-no answer to real claims circulating online.
