Two Dozen Bits of Good News

Without local partners Nigeria Health Watch (NHW) and Science Africa, the Solutions Journalism Africa Initiative wouldn’t be possible. Two weeks ago, NHW introduced a major new phase of its work in the form of 12 new mentors for the program. Together, they represent journalists, educators and media leaders with tremendous experience creating and editing solutions journalism. And last week, the European Journalism Centre announced grants totaling €102,000 for 12 new solutions-focused projects. These two developments portend much more good news for solutions reporting around the world.
