Workshops

For Journalism Educators

Journalism educators interested in learning how to apply a solutions journalism approach to their teaching, or how to deepen their understanding of the approach, are welcome to request a workshop. Workshops, which typically run four to six hours, are designed to give educators a solid grasp of how to teach solutions journalism and how to incorporate it into their existing courses. Circumstances permitting, these workshops can be provided online or in person and can be customized to meet the needs of a particular school, region, subject area or platform. To learn more, reach out to Michael Davis.

For All Other Educators

We offer content and pedagogy workshops for faculty across disciplines. Offerings include strategies to connect course content to real-world efforts and advice on teaching news literacy, including media research strategies and argument construction. Circumstances permitting, these workshops are provided online or in person and can be customized to meet the needs of a particular school, region, subject area or platform. If you are the director of a teaching and learning center or work with faculty development in any related context, contact Michael Davis for more information.
