Dr. Arwa Kooli has recently joined the Institute of Press and Information Sciences (IPSI) in Tunisia as an Assistant Professor after being an Adjunct Professor for more than a decade. She used to be the editor-in-chief of the fact-checking platform Tunifact and she had worked as a journalist for more than 10 years. She is also a trainer in media in general and data journalism and fact-checking in particular. She has written and presented a lecture on Solutions Journalism principles and guidelines, one of its kind in Arabic available on Aljazeera e-learning platform. She has collaborated with many Arab and international organizations and training centers. She also spoke at many forums and conferences on journalism and fact-checking. She provided a number of courses at IPSI, including data journalism, data visualization, fact-checking, and she is aiming at introducing a solutions journalism course. Dr. Kooli took part in several research projects published in peer-reviewed journals. She participated in many trainings and fellowships as a trainee, including the Professional Training Fellowship within a program of the State Department in 2013 and the Journalist Training Fellowship in India in 2017, in addition to other training and programs in Ethiopia, Germany, Italy, Egypt, Turkey.
