JOC Fellowship
Newsroom leaders received professional development centered on solutions journalism and leadership training, with support from mentors and a community of practice.
The JOC Fellowship is designed to identify and support a cohort of next-generation leaders whose work has direct relevance to, and impact on, communities that have been historically disadvantaged, particularly communities of color. Fellows receive professional development centered on solutions journalism and leadership training, with support from mentors and a community of practice.
Fellows will graduate from the program with a clear understanding of core leadership principles, and will work in a peer community as they gain insights from leaders with relevant experience from newsrooms across the United States.
This fellowship was created with the intention of helping these journalists advance into newsroom leadership positions where their talents and dedication can lead to news coverage that is more respectful, helpful and fair.
