Sustainable Development Goals

The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals) address poverty, inequality, climate change, education and more. The solutions journalism stories in each of the story collections below show how governments, civil society and businesses around the world are implementing solutions to these pressing global challenges.  These collections were created by educators for educators, but they can also be used to guide inquiry and facilitate discussion in any group setting. Each of the 17 collections (one for each of the UN SDGs) include five or more solutions journalism stories published by a diversity of news outlets in the United States and around the world; an introduction to the stories in the collection and how they relate to the particular goal; discussion questions appropriate for high school and college-level students; and notes that make it to integrate any or all of the questions into lesson plans or discussion guides.  Each month, we also feature stories that align with the UN's Global Goal of the month.  For February, that's Goal #3: Good Health and Well-Being
