As a "venture fund for the developing world," the Adventure Project empowers local community leaders, using its fundraising capabilities to provide training and resources to non-profits in poor and underserved parts of the world. The project has invested in community organizations and leaders in such countries as Haiti, India, Kenya and Uganda, after determining whether potential partners present a worthwhile "investment" for the AP -- and thus the community served -- through the use of measurable data and a long-term vision for sustainability.
