He's Serving Vigilante Justice Through an App

The Do Not Pay app is helping people take the law into their own hands. The app offers free legal counsel to users and “has helped fight $16 million in parking tickets in the U.K. and U.S.” In addition, people who use the app have won on average $7,000, some as much as $11,000. It was created by Joshua Browder, who initially created the app to help people fight parking tickets, but now envisions it helping people sue corporations. “I’m just making the law free,” says the 21-year-old Stanford student. “There’s no reason why you should pay a lawyer thousands of dollars to file a simple document.”
