Hannah Covington

Hannah Covington is the senior director of education content at the News Literacy Project (NLP). She oversees the development of educational resources used by thousands of students across the country. She leads the team responsible for RumorGuard, NLP’s educational fact-checking platform, and two popular weekly newsletters that debunk viral misinformation and explore journalism topics. She manages a program that connects professional journalists with educators and students for classroom visits and news literacy conversations. She also recently helped launch a community newspaper at a women’s prison in Oklahoma, where she now serves as a newsroom adviser.
