Shawn McIntosh

Shawn McIntosh is director of the Center for Excellence in Journalism and chair of the Master of Arts in Multiplatform Journalism at the American University of Armenia. He has taught digital media, communications and journalism courses at The College of Saint Rose and the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Before that he taught strategic communications and digital media in the master’s program in strategic communication at Columbia University School of Professional Studies for several years. Shawn worked as a journalist and editor in London and then Tokyo for nearly a decade. He is the co-author with John Pavlik of the textbook “Converging Media: An Introduction to Mass Communication and Digital Innovation,” seventh edition (2023) and co-editor with Marc Leverette of “Zombie Culture: Autopsies of the Living Dead” (2008).
