WORKSHOP YOUR STORY IDEA

Hub finishyourstory

Have you attended a solutions journalism in-person training or webinar, but need some help formulating a solutions pitch or carrying-out the reporting? Or are you eager for a space to talk through solutions story ideas? These workshops are open to journalists who have completed an in-person SJN core training or online webinar. We’ll answer any of your lingering questions from the training, discuss the finer points of solutions reporting, and leave ample time for conversation about the story ideas or projects you’re working on. Our goal? You walking away with a story outline.

Hub mentorship

FIND A MENTOR OR MENTEE

The Hub spoke, SJN listened, and now we're ready to make it happen: a mentorship program.

Though the idea of an SJN-Coordinated Mentorship Program has long been in the works, we’ve never quite been sure of how to put our pedal to the metal: Should it be in-person, or over-the-net? Should it be short-term, or long-term? What should the output be (if any), and how can SJN help guide you there?

That’s why we’ve decided to simply ask you! What would your dream mentorship program look like? If you think you even MIGHT be interested in being a mentee or a mentor (or both), then fill out the General Interest form below, and we’ll be in touch!

Great suggestion! So great, that we already have that story listed in the Solutions Story Tracker®. View it here.

It may take a few weeks to see your piece in the Solutions Story Tracker®, as we have a backlog of submissions longer than Ben Hur that we’re diligently working to eliminate. We appreciate your patience.
